The AOAI is comprised of a dedicated group of men and women committed to preserving the Avanti marque. The Avanti Automobile originated in a "skunk-works" like Palm Springs, CA design hideaway by Raymond Loewy and 3 other car design specialists. Studebaker, of South Bend Indiana, produced this car for model years 1963 & 64. Several other groups produced the Avanti from 1966, on and off, thru 2007. The approximately 2,000 AOAI Members own, show & enjoy a large portion of the 8,000+ cars produced thru the years.
