Club Description
The Motor State Street Rods Car Club was founded in 1976 by a small group of Hot Rod enthusiasts, as a social club to promote safety and family enjoyment of modified vehicles. The club is a non-profit benevolent organization established to promote enjoyment of older vehicles and protect the specialized interest of its members. In addition to its moto of “Fun with Cars, Family and Friends” the club has less structured activities that may include casual cruising, picnics, dinners, car shows, rod-runs, cruise-ins, and monthly meetings. Any funds raised from different activities, during the year, are donated to needy causes.
The club originated as a Dearborn based club that has shifted slightly West and now has active members located in all the North, West, and Southern suburbs of Detroit as well as North Central Michigan and on down to Florida in the winter months. We are also proud of the fact that we have active Canadian Members who participate in a number of our outings each year making Motor State an International Organization. We also take pride in the fact that Wives, Significant others and Singles are welcomed and play an active role in club functions and activities.
